She’s thrilled to be expecting her second child, and Celine Dion recently shared how being a mom has been more fulfilling than any of her professional success.
The “My Heart Will Go On” songstress explained, “You know, I’m not really a singer. My life is to be a mom. It is what I enjoy the most. I will take a chance with my music. I don’t take risks with my family.”
And her advanced maternal age (41) was definitely an obstacle to overcome, hence Celine and her husband Rene Angelil (67) worked together with fertility specialists. Prior to her pregnancy she told press, “We’ll try and hope for the best. If it’s given to us again, we’ll be more than blessed.”
As for her first child, 8-year-old Rene-Charles, he’s pulling for the new arrival to be a girl. “I’ve asked him if [he prefers] a little boy or a little girl. He said, ‘a little sister.’”
